CRIPPLED GIRL

July 26, 2007

Such an unfortunate girl I am :-) Last week, in my pursuit of trying to look my best, I cleaned my toenails so I can put polish on. Such a bad luck that I accidentally hit my one of my toe with a nipper and it started bleeding profusely. For a day I tried to ignore it but the next 2 days it started to feel uncomfortable and finally it swelled. Haaa! I went panic of course as I started to walk like a crippled girl. I tried to observe it for few days and then Andy insisted that I should see a doctor. (for some who are nibbling their foody while reading this…Pardon me for the next lines…) The doctor said its quite an unusual case when he saw the tiny flesh that came out of it. We thought at first its only a puss but no it’s a little flesh. Yikes! So he decided to prescribe me with antibiotics and observe it for the next 2 days and go back for another check up too. He said if it doesn’t get any better, he will perform a minor surgery to remove the flesh. Whew! I never had a surgery even minor in my entire life so I don’t know what to expect but I’m sure it wont be so scary at all. This toe is pissing me off for one week as I cant walk properly, cant go somewhere else unless Andrew is on a day off to drive for me. So last night after doing some groceries, Andrew and I found ourselves in the movie rental shop. He rented some DVDS for me to watch while I’m in the period of healing my toe. OK narin ang movie marathon.

Lesson of the story: IT PAYS TO BE MAARTE…

UP FOR NEW CHALLENGES

July 25, 2007

Its nice to be back! For over a month I haven’t been blogging. For some reasons i cant edit my first blog anymore so I opted to have a new one.  2nd reason: Blame it to my migration. Yes, I’m finally back in NZ, for good! Actually, I spent 3 to 4 hours online most of the day since I got here but didn’t have an inch of interest to write. Maybe because of the freezing winter season, my thoughts are frozen delight when I’m feeling cold. Oh yes I almost forgot, it was winter season also when I came over last year. One more reason of being slack I guess is I have been spending time with Andrew to catch up the lost times. What a nice feeling to be reunited…feels soo good.

Just to update you guys, I’m currently waiting for my Work Permit so I can start working in the State Cinema. It’s good Eden helped me out to get a job offer and it only means one thing, I will be working with her again. This time, in a foreign land, in a different company but type of job is somewhat same with CS which we both worked for before. And pay is way more higher than what we were earning back home (hehehe), and best of all…its STRESS FREE! Yipee! That’s one thing that excites me…going back to work again. I have been roaming around too much since last year that its already due to start working again, well aside from the fact that I’m already broke. LOL!

Another thing that excites me is driving a right hand drive car soon. Yep a right hand drive car… it’s completely a new thing for me as I was used to drive a left hand drive car in Manila and in United States, but I’m up for a new challenge anyway. Getting excited too to get my new “2nd hand car” when I start working. Getting a car here is easy as 1 2 3…as you can avail of hire purchase on a weekly payment. Transportation here is quite difficult as Bus services runs on schedules so having a car is a need, and besides WALANG TRAFFIC dito…praise God!

To beat all the challenges…adopting a KIWI culture requires more effort I think. But knowing my personality, I’m pretty sure I will be flexible enough to adapt to it and besides my lovey-dovey is here to stand beside me.

So wish me luck! Cheerio!
